Together for Health! - WE Care Day

We annually organize the WE Care Day at thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary, focusing on health care. It is very important to draw attention to taking care of our health. Don’t take our health natural – do sports regularly and go for the necessary screening tests.

Specialists arrived to our premise at Budapest by a screening truck on 25 April and gave medical advices and offered various screening tests to our co-workers. The screening tests were available throughout the day which tests were ECG, abdominal ultrasound, spine examination, eye test, pulmonary function tests, dermatology services, and even „pin prick” blood test. The tests were carried out on 130 co-workers based on booked appointments. In the meantime, physical and mental health checks were carried out. Other services, like office massage, therapeutic exercises and time management trainings were available for our employees, and also a fortune-teller was present at the event.

After opening, the morning began with the traditional warm-up and fun run , where the premise was used in such an alternatively funny way. At the same time salsa classes were available at the club for those who were in the mood of dancing. In the afternoon everyone felt great at table tennis, and also masters of darts had a great competition.

This year we also intended to draw attention to safety at work with a photoshoot contest. We asked our employees to take photos at work on those situations, where particular attention is needed. It is extremely important to estimate dangerous situations properly and exercise due diligence in order to look after our own and colleagues’ security.

We hope that this event will remind our co-workers to pay attention to their health, to do regular exercises and to work safely.
