Thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary's steel plate product range can be divided into two main categories based on the manufacturing process: cold-rolled and hot-rolled steel plates.

Cold-rolled steel sheet

Cold-rolled steel sheets are primarily used in the automotive and electrical engineering industries due to their more uniform material structure, higher-quality surface, and deep-drawing properties.

Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet
A distinctive feature of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet is the zinc coating applied via the hot-dip galvanizing process, which ensures the steel sheet’s long service life, corrosion resistance, and a decorative appearance. In addition, it is easy to weld and solder, making it suitable for a wide variety of outdoor applications, such as gutters, decorative elements, or cladding.

Pickled Steel Sheet
Thanks to their surface treatment, pickled steel sheets are uniformly smooth, free of scale and rust, making them ideal for laser cutting. They are ideal for use in agricultural machinery manufacturing or, for example, in the production of fireplaces.

Hot-rolled steel sheet

Applications for hot-rolled steel sheet include, among others, the construction industry, the machinery industry, agricultural machinery manufacturing, and structural fabrication. The advantage of steel plate is that it is easy to process—it can be welded and cut. Other users of heavy-gauge steel plates include heavy industry (which manufactures various tanks and industrial machinery frames), shipyards, and the defense industry.

Our company offers the following types of hot-rolled steel sheet, cut to size from wide coils (in accordance with EN 10051):
