Plates

The steel plate assortment of thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary can be divided in two main categories based on the manufacturing process: cold and hot rolled plates.

Cold Rolled Plate

Owing to the more uniform material structure, higher quality surface and deep-drawability cold rolled plates are used first of all in the automotive industry and electrotechnics.

Hot-dip galvanized plate
The specialty of the hot-dip galvanized plate is the zinc layer applied with dip-milling procedure, which ensures the longevity, corrosion resistance and decorative appearance of the steel plate. In addition to this it is easy to weld and solder, so it can be applied for variable outdoor purposes, for example gutters, decoration purposes or claddings.

Pickled plate
Owing to the surface treatment pickled plates are uniform smooth, free of scale and rust, therefore excellently suitable for laser cutting. These can be applied for agricultural machinery or for example for the production of chimneys.

Hot rolled plate

The application areas of hot rolled plates are among others construction, machinery industry, agricultural machinery and assembly. The advantage of the steel plate is that it is easy to process, weld and cut. Thick plates can be further used in heavy industry manufacturing different tanks and industrial engine platforms, shipyards and military industry as well.
