Ultrasonic material testing

Ultrasonic testings are carried out at the premises of thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary Zrt. in Budapest.

Tested products:

  • I. Hot-rolled plates, flat steel products in a thickness range from 6 to 200 mm. Standard: EN10160:2001

Acceptance criteria: for total surface area 3. chart: S0; S1; S2; S3

For edge zone 5. chart: E0; E1; E2; E3; E4

  • II. Hot-rolled, drawn round bars, bars in a thickness range from 10 to 1000 mm.

Standard: EN10228-3:2016 ,

Acceptance criteria: for internal continuity gaps 5. chart: 1; 2; 3; 4

Standard: EN10308:2001

Acceptance criteria: for internal continuity gaps 2. chart: 1; 2; 3; 4

During our ultrasonic material testing service, we issue a report on the plates and bars tested according to the standard.

Other destructive and non-destructive tests are performed in cooperation with our partner with an accredited laboratory.
