New logistics system – digital news at tkMH

thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary is dedicated to digitalisation and opportunities given by Ipar 4.0 as we believe that our future competitiveness can be kept with giving the best quality service to our partners. Big Data, data analysis, artificial intelligence – these are all essential to satisfy the modern customer requirements and to work efficiently. On this basis did we have a rethink on our logistics system, significantly easing and making the work of our partners and colleagues more efficient.

Logistics system on Big Data

After the data analysis it was visible that the customer requirements have been changed in the past years. 95% of the orders have been picked at our premise in Budapest, therefore we had to think over our logistics processes and the function of rural premises. Based on the new system we operate sales offices in rural premises, while the delivery is centralised, it is carried out from Budapest. Versys is the basis of process optimization at the capital premise and its whole logistics. This system enables a heavy data analysis and a more balanced customer service, easing the job of co-workers and partners. Import and export processes have been automated at the premise in Budapest. A special tool (TAG) helps at loading and unloading trucks, while the former mentioned Versys software optimizes processes in the background.
